**Disclaimer: This particular blog post is very image heavy and much of the contents may not be suitable for the sappiest of hearts or the sweetest of tooths (ahem, teeth but tooths just sounded so much cuter!) The children contained in the following images may or not be just as sweet as the candy filling their baskets.*

I am the girl who wants every holiday to last forever.  The mom who believes that since it is a holiday there will be no children fighting, whining, crying or screaming. The wife who looks to her husband to make all this actually happen. I am the girl who wants every holiday to be just perfect, but I am NOT the girl who will throw a hissy fit if a holiday does not live up to Martha Stewart standards and the kids experience the meltiest of meltdowns.  So, this Easter I musta just got a lucky one.  This year (without any planning) we began our Easter celebration a whole week early!

Kicking things off was a spontaneous text message invite from our good friend Kathryn. Yep, Kathryn loves Easter clearance sales and seeing happy kiddoes, so off we went to hunt among the 4,000 eggs scattered in her yard.......yes, you read that right 4,000!!
Isa got plenty of help from her big sister and quickly learned which eggs had money in them just by the sound of their shake.  She kept the money and threw the candy filled eggs back. I have smart kids:)

Even better than spontaneous egg hunts are spur of the moment visits from some of your best friends. What makes your best friends or best friends? Well, how 'bout their innate ability to make you laugh till you pee just a little.  Sorry for this Rod, but this is what happens when you steal my kids' candy.....you end up in my blog:)

Can anyone seriously tell me this picture did not just make them giggle even a little?

So the next most important thing was our traditional egg coloring. This year we went for two kits.  One served as an incredible variety set complete with glitter, glue and other funky jewels.  The other...create your own egg monsters (the eggs with "hair" are our monsters)
This is one of Hannah's favorite things to do.  And again, she even made time to help out her little brother. Yep, she is a fabulous big sister.

This was the first Isa really got to experience egg coloring and well.....she put the egg in the dye, she stirred it, she took it out, she squeezed it, she cracked it, I peeled it, she ate it.  Awesome.

Colby was (of course) the first one up and very excited to find the dining room table filled with goodies. I mean filled

Two favorites for this boy were the infamous whoopie cushion and Gator Golf (he had been asking since forever!)  It took a little whoopie cushion instruction from me, but he soon planned for his first victim...Daddy.

Gator Golf was so exciting even Charlie couldn't stand it!

And Isa's greatest newfound love...PEEPS!

Now that you've experienced sweetness overload....part 2 (just a teensy bit shorter than part 1) of the Easter extravaganza will grace the blog tomorrow.  And even more exciting, another step is being  toward an UN-ordinary life!  This one is so huge, that there might just have to be two posts in one day!! You will just have to check back soon to discover the secret:)
