I AM MARGO-LICIOUS (a continuance of my Life Un-Ordinary)

I am so totally psyched about all the comments that have been coming in telling me how you all are making steps toward your own Un-Ordinary! And truly, I am amazed by how many have told me what an inspiration I am for them....that is a great feeling! So thank YOU, and I hope as you take these steps and continue to set new goals that you share the message with everyone you know<3
Alright, Alright, what is this "Margolicious" business? In order to tell you that story, I need to fill you in on goals 3 and 4 of my Un-Ordinary Life. Here goes...
3- I will take at least one hour per day to do something for just me. Believe it or not, this has not been this hard for me. By scheduling in time at the gym or kickboxing class or a long walk with a good friend sometime after a nice dinner with my husband and kids, I get that "me time." And sometimes, on rare occasion, that me time involves a little extra special....like yesterday. Enter Margo.
4- I will learn to let things go and throw all caution to the wind. Just because we have the ability to control things does NOT mean we should. And this is how yesterday I became Margolicious. With all the small steps to big changes being made, I had the perfect idea to accomplish steps 3 and 4 at the same time. Now, I am totally the t-shirt and jeans kinda girl. I love to dress up, but most of the time don't really have a "dress me up and take me out" moment to actually dress for. When I do, I go into panic mode 'cause all I own are t-shirts and jeans, gym clothes and cozy pajamas. So, I thought...what can I do to dress me up a little without going crazy and buying a whole new wardrobe? Oooohhhh, I know....let's start with the hair! This is something that no matter what I wear, it WILL be a huge change. And a big change was what I was after. I called up Margo and my instructions were simple, vague and most people would think I was insane. Margo thought I was fun...'cause well, I am:)
Here are my dull locks as I arrived at the salon. And yes, they were all mushed into a messy bun when I arrived!
My instructions: 1. Cut and Color Please 2. Color is to be her choice (Ruby Red, Platinum Blonde, Lime Green...anything) 3. Cut is also her choice 4. (most important rule) She is not allowed to tell me what she is doing until her work is complete. (remember how I said just because you can control things in your life doesn't mean you should?) Those 4 simple rules are how yesterday I became Margolicious.
Margo took my rules very seriously and a whole day to plan out her strategy. As I sat in her magical chair she took great pride in her secret by hiding the bowls of color from me and even turning my chair away from any mirrors while she was cutting away.
Drum Roll please....this is the before and after....
Side and back detail..
And some detail of the AMAZING copper and red foiled highlights!!! L.O.V.E. them<3
Was this scary? YEP! Did it hurt? NOPE! Am I satisfied with the result? COMPLETELY! I would highly recommend this challenge to ANYONE. Seriously, go see Margo. Become her fan on Facebook (tell her I sent you and get $1 off your cut and $5 off your color). Become Margolicious. The best way to truly be Margolicious is to give little to no instruction, throw all caution to the wind and trust her talents to work her magic. Margo took my entire lifestyle and personality into account when she planned for my challenge. She didn't go with blondes because she knows I am crazy busy and would have trouble with the upkeep. She knew I go to the gym and kickboxing class, so she left me with the ability to pull my hair back when necessary. She knew I am kind of low-maintenance, so she gave me a cut that takes little to no effort to style. Thanks Margo....you totally rock!!
